Financial Info

We want the financial side of things to be straightforward. Here's everything you need to know about how we handle insurance, payments, and scheduling.

Appointments

We don't double-book appointments, which means when you have a time slot, it's yours. It also means that when appointments are missed or canceled without notice, that time can't easily be filled for another family who needs it.

We ask for 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel. Missed appointments or late cancellations incur a $50 fee. After two missed appointments we may ask that you find care elsewhere, not as a punishment, but because consistent care is how we actually help kids, and that requires showing up.

If you're running late, please call us. If you're more than 15 minutes late we may need to reschedule to keep the rest of our families on schedule.

Outstanding Balances

Balances carried past 30 days are subject to a $10 monthly rebilling fee. We don't send families to collections, but we do ask that prior balances be paid before scheduling future appointments.

Insurance

We are in-network with Delta Dental PPO and Premier. For all other PPO plans, we are an out-of-network provider, and that's a deliberate choice.

Staying mostly out-of-network means we're not beholden to insurance company guidelines about how we practice. We can spend the time each child needs, recommend treatment based on what's actually best, and invest in the staff and equipment that make a real difference, without an insurance contract dictating any of it.

For most families, that independence costs very little. Our fees are generally within the usual and customary range for our area, which is what your PPO plan uses to calculate reimbursement. Many families find their out-of-pocket costs are similar to what they'd pay at an in-network office. We'll give you an estimate before any treatment so you know what to expect.

As a courtesy, we file all insurance claims on your behalf, including required documentation, x-rays, and letters of medical necessity. Your insurer makes all coverage determinations, and we can't guarantee what they'll pay. Our team is happy to help you understand your benefits before your appointment.

Payment

Your estimated co-pay and deductible are due on the day of service. Any remaining balance after insurance processes will be billed to you; any credit will be refunded or applied to your account. We accept cash, checks under $500, debit cards, and all major credit cards.

If you have questions about a balance or need to work something out, just call us. We'd rather have that conversation than have a bill sit unresolved.

Separated or Divorced Families

Financial responsibility for treatment rests with the adult who accompanies the child to the appointment, regardless of any divorce or custody arrangements. If you have specific billing needs, please let us know in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate.
